Manchester Airport’s Concorde Conference Centre is delighted to be hosting a supersonic celebration this November as it celebrates the airport’s 80th birthday and 15 years since Concorde took up its home at the Runway Visitor Park.

More than 200 guests will be attending the event, hosted in such a unique setting under the wings of the iconic British Airways Concorde. The aviation theme will run throughout the evening with a special menu inspired by inflight meals served on Concorde G-BOAC flights to Nairobi and New York including red onion and goat’s cheese tarte tatin, corn fed chicken supreme and butternut squash risotto with gorgonzola.

Over 70 companies will be attending on the night to experience everything the Concorde Conference Centre has on offer to make their event a night that guests will never forget. Attendees on the night will find out more about the exciting party packages on offer at the conference centre.

Guests won’t be short of entertainment either, with a live performance from String Fusion, a raffle to raise money for Manchester Airport’s charity partner CLIC Sargent, and exclusive tours onboard Concorde. There will also be a special showing of ‘Time Flies’, a poem created by Tony Walsh, also known as Longfella Poet, to celebrate 80 years of Manchester Airport.

Whilst celebrating its past, the airport will also be looking towards the future by giving guests an overview of its £1bn transformation programme which will see Terminal 2 become the focal point of the airport’s operations by growing by 150%. The latest technology and travel innovations will be installed to improve the airport experience for passengers and partners.
